FML

I have worked for the same company for the last 10 years, I have worked in several different positions for this company, I have made them lots of money, and now I am pretty sure that I am going to be fired. At closing the other night a woman reached into my cash drawer and stole $ 40. I have the bitch on tape and I have her name and cell number. I followed all the procedures that the company says to follow now it's Monday and it looks like my regional is saying it was gross neglect on my part. So as I sit writing this I am faced with what to do? do I try and fight for a job I am very good at but also very tired of. Do I let them fire me and move on. I have been wanting to go back to school for sometime and just haven't taken the step. I can go to school tuition free. I have applied for finical aid and have been offered more than enough to make ends meet. I am just frustrated and angry and confused. I know that if I lose my job i will be forced to push my side business harder. I just feel like I am drifting and don't know where to go or what to do. I am trying to look at this as a sign that it's time for change but who knows. I do know that I am going to be OK my kids are safe and loved we have a home and food and I know that all will work out in the end. thanks for listening.

Line up your ducks and follow your heart! Everything happens for a reason!

I'm with CJ.
Get everything in order to prepare for them firing you.
Start a new chapter in your life!

This is a tough situation. Just sitting back and letting them fire you unfairly doesn't sound like a good idea. But, if the opportunity to do something that you really want to do, and that will be better for you in the long run is there, then it's tempting to take it.

I say fight 'em, win and then quit and go back to school. LOL

Came over from Real Live Lesbian's blog. ;-)

I'm a firm believer of what CJ wrote too....everything happens for a reason.

Sounds like you have plans already lined up if you get fired OR if you decide to fire them. Keep thinking it out loud and a decision will happen.

Wow that sucks. Start working on plan B. Once you get that plan good enough you may find the courage to follow it regardless of what happens at work.

doesn't sound like you want to be there, and like you have a great opportunity to go to school without ending up being bitten in the butt by the cost. So lets weigh the scales. Job you're bored of...new horizons...job you're bored of...new horizons... dunno, new horizons sounds good to my. Why live your life saying 'what if' later? Why face the stress of being worried about getting fired? I agree with CJ, take the leap.

I have looked into school and can get in for winter!!! I also spoke with some people and found out that they will have to pay me unemployment. It looks like if I choose to I will be a Womens study major in 2010!!!
