i think i'm in love!!

This weekend the wyfe and I picked out our new couch, we decided to get a sectional. This thing is comfy and big and comfy and it hold my entire family in the one corner. The wyfe and I cuddled on the corner and had room for all 3 kids and the little dogs!! You know it's bad when you just want to go home and snuggle on the couch instead of shop. I don't even mind football since we are all snuggled up. Happy weekend everyone!

long weekend

This weekend the wife went for her first weekend of reserve duty. I am supportive of this and love being a military family. It's just that I never expected to miss her like this. We are good at the long distance thing. When we met she was 8000 miles away. I think it has to do with the trouble that we were having, Even though the bad stuff is behind us and we are doing great it was hard to say goodbye to her on Thursday knowing that I wouldn't see her till tonight. We have talked we have texted and we have flirted like crazy, it has been fun. I forgot what it was like to love someone over the phone and the computer. It has been fun and even if she was miles away I feel like we connected again. I told a friend of mine that I was glad that I missed her. It was nice to sit around in her sweatshirt that smelled like her and miss her. It's even nicer to know that she missed me and is now on her way home to me. I think I'm going to like this return to military life!

p.s. Thanks to all that thanked her for her service, it's nice to know that what she does is appreciated!!!

Crazy week !

this has been a crazy week here at home. I started a new position at work. the wife and I took a road trip to buy a book. I traveled out of state for the new position at work, i will be doing this off and on. I got to travel in the yucky weather which was not so much fun. I spent to days with my regional director and he was much nicer this time. I got home this evening and the wife was in bed taking a nap to get ready for her big weekend adventure.... this is the weekend that she starts her Air Force Reserve duty. I am sooooo proud of her for the service that she does. I am so glad that she gets to do what she loves to do. I am however worried about her. She has to drive to Pittsburgh pa for reserve duty and the weather is crappy this weekend. (Mother Nature is a bitch sometimes) I know that this will be a busy weekend for her and i can only imagine this is going to have her really ready to go back to active duty asap! now lets just hope that Obama gets it done soon so she can live her dream!

I hope that this finds you all safe and well with a happy start to your new year. today has been a lazy day full of family fun and football games.
I have to go back to work tomorrow then I have 3 days off. It seems crazy to me to go back to work for a day, but oh well the things we do to pay the bills. I am looking forward to this next year and the changes that I see instore. I wish you all the best as we start this new year and hope that your first day of 2010 has been a great as mine.
